7KW Solar Photovoltaics, Integrated Roof - St Andrews

This exciting project saw the removal of all the clay pantiles, which were set aside carefully for reuse and their replacement by a specialist 7kW Building Integrated PV (BIPV). Careful design was required to ensure the system sat within the overall aesthetic of the old granite barn. The property’s main house has a ground source heat pump and electric AGA and this west-facing system will offset the running costs of heating, hot water and cooking by a large percentage. As part of a pool renovation, there will be second system mounted on the flat roof on the east side which will contribute to the running the air source heat pump heating the pool, the filtration and the dehumidification.
